Counselling provides you with a supportive and private environment, where you can share your concerns in a confidential and safe place, exploring and clarifying problems and possible solutions. Counselling is about being able to share how you feel about yourself and others and having your feelings heard and respected. It can help you to recognise and draw on your own strengths and resources, in order to deal with life’s challenges in a positive way that is right for you.
Counselling is not about giving advice, but together exploring ways to finding your own answers, making the right choices for yourself. It can help you to clarify and gain a clearer understanding of your needs, get a different perspective, and develop effective coping skills for the future as well as the present.
Confidentiality – Everything discussed during a counselling session is strictly confidential. There may be exceptions to this, which will be discussed during our first meeting.
